THE PROJECT
The Spartek group, a leader in ceramic products in India, is setting up a premium bone china tableware plant near kovvur, Andhra Pradesh in south India.
The project benefits from local raw materials, piped natural gas and skilled craftsmen with a history in pottery and ceramics
Annual saleable capacity is planned at 10 million pieces of hotelware and premium tableware with extensive decorations and accessories.
PROMOTERS
Sparta Holdings, an investment and international trading company, promoted Spartek ceramics in 1985 to produce single fast fired ceramic tile in India for the first time.
Today, Spartek with its associate company Neycer, operates four ceramic factories producing annually over 3 million sq.mtrs of glazed ceramic and granite tiles and over 600,000 pieces of sanitaryware. The group turnover for the current year is over IRS720 million from ceramics manufactured products.
Spartek is the only national brand, pioneer and generic name in ceramic tiles. Spartek and Neycer products are serviced nationally by over 400 dealers and exported worldwide
Spartek ceramics which declared a maiden dividend during its first year of operation continues with a regular dividends and even a 3:5 bonus within just three and half years. Its returns to shareholders is over 1900% within 5 Years.
Spartek is managed by a independent board consisting of eminent Indians including Mr.M Narsimha, formerly Governor, Reserve Bank Of India and heading the committee on banking sector reforms of the government of India, Dr.S.M Patel, Former chairman , HMT, Mr T.Venkateswara Rao and other legal and industrial luminaries.
PLANT AND TECHNOLOGY
Process, Design, Engineering and equipments have been sourced from renowned British and German companies.
Key equipments including isostatic pressing for the first time in India. Among few plants worldwide sophisticated kiln for biscuit, glost and decoration firing.
Apart from initial supervision of plant erection and startup, product design and production would be under expatriate supervision for the first few years.

Spartek fine china would benefit from and international team which includes Krishnaprasad Tripuraneni, Promoter of "Spartek" group; David Queensberry from the famed London based product design group bearing his name; Roger Miller, former marketing Director of Royal Doulton with substantial success in promoting bone china and Frank Ridge, formerly, Technical Director of a leading bone china group in UK
With over 30 years experience in the industry.
The organisation and management would match international standards including conformance to ISO quality norms.
MARKETS
Over 50% is expected to be sold internationally with an appropriate mix of branded sales to whole salers and distribution through major distributors and hotels.
Market seeding and design specifications are already under way. Target overseas markets include USA, Canada, unified Europe and Far East.
The Spartek group is already consolidating its presence in international through overseas offices and operations.

The project has an attractive breakeven capacity of 40%. In the first full year of production, turnover is estimated to cross INR 610 million (20.3 mill. USD).
In the first five years of operation, the project is expected to generate sales revenues in excess of INR 2685 Mill. (USD 89.5 mill.) and cumulative cash accruals of INR 795 Mill. (USD 26.5 mill.).
MEANS OF FINANCING
The project cost of INR 763 million ( USD 25.4 million ) is to be funded by an optimal blend of equity shares to public , promoters contributions , convertible debt instruments in local and foreign currencies and loans/credit from international institutions.
